When you choose a restoration company, you are not just hiring a contractor. You are trusting a team to step in during some of the most difficult moments a homeowner can face. For Paul Davis Restoration of Lynchburg, Roanoke & Southside VA, that responsibility is rooted in service, community, and shared core values.
How It All Began
Paul Davis Restoration of Lynchburg, Roanoke & Southside VA was established a little over two years ago when owners John and Paige Eastman and Brad Long decided to bring the franchise to the area.
After relocating back to the region to assist family, they saw an opportunity to build something meaningful in the community. Having worked together previously, they researched restoration companies carefully. The Paul Davis franchise stood out as the right fit for their vision, values, and long term goals.
Their focus was not simply on starting a business. It was about creating a company that could serve the community when it matters most.
A Natural Fit for Service
For Emergency Recovery Coordinator Jay Brooks, joining the team felt like a natural next step.
With nearly 30 years of experience as a first responder across multiple fields, Jay has always been drawn to helping others in times of crisis. He also has a strong background in business development within the Lynchburg community and experience in construction and management.
When the opportunity to serve as an Emergency Recovery Coordinator came up, it aligned perfectly with his skill set and personal mission.
“I’ve always been into business development locally,” Jay explains. “Getting back into my roots in construction and management just fit. And being a first responder for almost 30 years, it all aligned.”
Knowing It Was the Right Path
Sometimes clarity comes quickly.
Just weeks into the role, Jay attended a Paul Davis training course in Wisconsin. There, he connected with other team members who shared the same mindset and dedication to service.
He found himself surrounded by people who were there for others. People who were vigilant, aware, and committed to stepping in when families needed help most. Many had backgrounds in emergency services and were using those skills in a new way to serve their communities.
“It was a perfect fit,” Jay says. “I couldn’t ask for anything better.”
The Core Values That Made the Difference
Before joining the company, Jay spent eight years in the military. During that time, core values like integrity, excellence, and service were not just words. They were standards.
When he walked into his interview and saw those same values displayed on the wall, it stood out immediately.
The alignment between his military background and the company’s principles made the decision clear. This was a team committed to investing in its people and in the community.
Those shared values continue to guide the work being done across Lynchburg, Roanoke, and Southside Virginia.
More Than Restoration
At its heart, restoration work is about helping people recover. Whether responding to water damage, fire loss, or another unexpected event, the mission remains the same. Serve with integrity. Pursue excellence. Support the community.
For the team at Paul Davis Restoration of Lynchburg, Roanoke & Southside VA, it is not just about repairing property. It is about standing beside neighbors when they need it most.
That commitment to service is the foundation the company was built on and the reason it continues to grow within the communities it serves.
